Consumer research since 1979
We are a consumer research company in Wisconsin. We pay people across the country to take part in surveys, product tests, and research sessions.
Joining is free. The sign up form takes a few minutes.
Three steps. There is nothing to pay and nothing to buy.
Fill out one form with your contact details and some questions about you and your household. That is what puts you on the list.
When a study matches you, we email or text you. The invitation says what is involved, how long it takes, and what it pays. You decide whether to accept.
You are paid after you finish. Most studies pay by Amazon gift card or PayPal. In person sessions usually pay cash on the day.
Pay depends on the study, how long it runs, and what it asks of you. The invitation always tells you the amount before you agree to anything.
5 to 25
dollars
Usually 10 to 30 minutes. Done from home, on your own time.
50 to 100
dollars an hour
Paid for your time across the whole test, not a flat fee.
50 to 150
dollars
A video conversation, on your own or with a small group.
75 to 250
dollars
Held near you. Some longer projects pay several hundred.
Home use testing
A lot of our work is home use testing. You live with a product for a while and tell us how it actually performs, which is something no survey can capture. These studies pay for your time rather than a flat fee, so a longer test is worth more.
Usually we ship it to you. Sometimes we ask you to buy it yourself, often from Amazon, so that the test matches a real purchase. When we do that we cover the cost.
You use it the way you normally would, over a set period. Some tests run a few days and others run several weeks. The invitation tells you which before you agree.
Most tests ask for short diary entries as you go. A few minutes each time, about how you used it and what you noticed. That record is the part clients value most.
Some tests ask about a whole category rather than one product, so you keep a diary of everything you buy and use in that area for a period. Those run longer and pay accordingly.
Companies come to us when they want to know what real people think before they make a decision. You are the person they are asking.
Most of our research is online, so where you live rarely matters. You take part from home.
In person studies run all over the country. We have our own research facility in Wisconsin, we work with partner facilities in cities nationwide, and where there is no facility nearby we book a meeting space close to the people we need to talk to.
If you are invited to something in person, the invitation tells you where it is, when it is, and how long it will take, before you agree to anything.
More than one person in a household can join. Each member needs their own email address, and each person can hold one membership.
We will never try to sell you anything, and we do not pass your contact details to anyone who will. We contact you about research studies and nothing else.
You choose which studies to take. Turning one down does not affect future invitations.
You can leave the panel at any time. Email us and we will remove you.
